Our U.S. Large-Cap Core and Value Equity strategies pursue sustainable, long-term capital appreciation by seeking to invest in diversified portfolios of attractively valued, high-quality stocks that offer exposure to our work in ESG research and pathbreaking shareholder engagement. Our objective is to outperform market benchmarks through bottom-up fundamental research, stock selection and careful portfolio construction. We typically invest in 50 to 70 mid to large capitalization stocks in thematically organized portfolios with appropriate sector allocations and risk characteristics. We integrate financial and sustainability factors into our investment process because we believe Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research helps us find companies that could benefit from new market opportunities, efficiency improvements, and wider risk controls. Our relatively low turnover reflects our emphasis on adding value over the long-term. The benchmarks for our U.S. Large-Cap Core and Value strategies are the S&P 500 and Russell 1000 Value, respectively.
Our Balanced strategies combine one of our equity portfolios with a customized bond portfolio composed of socially responsible investment grade holdings. We tailor these strategies to each client's unique tax situation and cash needs.
