Boston Common’s socially-screened, large cap value and core portfolios provide the anchor for our clients’ investment strategies. The investment process for these equity and balanced accounts draws on rigorous analysis and judgment gained by experience. Our team sits down with clients to understand their planning time horizon, risk tolerance, and spending guidelines. We integrate these concerns with our clients’ social objectives to craft portfolios that are both diversified and socially responsible. Our investing strategy combines thematic sector and economic analysis with bottom-up stock selection to produce high-quality, value-oriented portfolios.

International Equity Investing

Product Overview:
Boston Common's socially-screened international equity strategy offers investors global diversification while remaining true to their social mission.  Based on our analysis of individual securities and foreign markets, we create an economically and geographically diversified portfolio of international stocks.  We use American Depository Receipts (ADRs) where possible to lower custody and transaction costs.  We have a 3-5 year time horizon with low turnover and tax management capabilities.  Boston Common manages in-house international separate accounts.  We also offer sub-advised Catholic and Social international strategies.

US Small Cap Value Equity Investing

Boston Common's socially-screened small cap value products strive to achieve long term capital appreciation through a diversified portfolio of high-quality value oriented stocks. Investment in smaller market capitalization companies may result in somewhat greater volatility than that afforded by larger stocks over short periods, but can provide opportunities for greater returns.
